What is an MOT?
Any vehicle over 3 years old is required by law to meet the minimum road safety and environmental standards as set out in a MOT test on an annual basis. Car and Van MOTs must be carried out by trained and qualified specialists at centres which have been authorised by the DVLA. At Boro Tyres, we have done over 30,000 MOTs since we started trading in 1979, and we MOT cars, vans, 4x4s and motorhomes (Class 4, 7, 5L).
What does an MOT test include?
Your MOT check will include inspection of:
- Vehicle Identification Number
- Lights
- Steering and suspension
- Registration plate
- Windscreen, wipers and washer bottles
- Horn
- Seatbelts and seats
- Mirrors
- Brakes, wheels and tyres
- Bodywork Doors
- Fuel system and emission levels
